Government of India has recently launched a new online portal: MADAD ('MEA' in Aid of Diaspora in Distress), a Consular Grievances Monitoring System. Consular grievances regarding compensation, court cases, domestic helps, imprisonment abroad, transportation of mortal remains, repatriation, salary dues, tracing the whereabouts can be lodged under this scheme. Grievances relating to visa and passport, travel documents, attestation of documents will not be entertained in this portal.
